Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
